Maureen Engle
Behavioral Health Advocate | Disability & Long-Term Care Specialist | Peer Support Consultant
Maureen Engle brings nearly 30 years of experience in disability planning, long-term care strategy, and employee benefits—now focused through a behavioral-health lens that recognizes the profound intersection between disability and mental health.
Throughout her career at Creative Financial Group, Maureen worked in the estate planning and disability income markets, earning her Life, Accident & Health license along with her Series 6 and 63. As a Disability and Long-Term Care Specialist, she generated significant disability income production and led a proposal team for 16 years, supporting complex client cases involving chronic illness, long-term impairment, and financial vulnerability.
Her work consistently revealed a critical truth: disability is not solely a financial event—it is a behavioral health event. Individuals managing physical, developmental, or cognitive disabilities often experience co-occurring mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, and caregiver burnout. Families navigating disability frequently face emotional strain, identity disruption, financial insecurity, and prolonged stress exposure.
Maureen’s clinical-informed approach emphasizes:
- The psychological impact of chronic illness and disability
- The mental health burden on caregivers and family systems
- The need for structured peer support environments
- Reducing stigma around mental health within professional and family settings
- Integrating financial planning with behavioral health awareness
At Creative Benefits, Inc., she expanded her focus to group benefits strategy, helping employers understand how benefit design impacts employee mental wellness, stress levels, and overall resilience. Later, as Agency Coordinator with Combined Insurance, owned by Chubb, she specialized in small group markets—advocating for disability and supplemental coverage that protects not only income, but emotional stability during crisis. Maureen’s professional mission centers on bridging financial protection with behavioral health support. She believes sustainable recovery and resilience require integrated solutions that address both the economic and psychological dimensions of disability. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy Administration from Penn State University and maintains her CLTC (Certified in Long-Term Care) designation.
